Who is responsible
L’Oudhé Natural Essence is a brand of Upkyk, which is the controller of the personal data described on this page. Anything on this page, or any request about your own details, reaches us through the contact form.

The waitlist
Your email address, and if you fill them in, your first name, which scent you are waiting for and how many you want. We use it for one thing: to write to you when the candles go on sale, and to tell you where and how you will be able to buy them once the shop is live. You hand it over by filling in the form, so the legal basis is your consent, and you can take that back whenever you like.
The contact form
Your name, your email address and whatever you write in the message. We use it to answer you, and for nothing else. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to the people who write to us.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records the usual technical details of a request: an IP address, the browser used, the page asked for. That keeps the site running and shows us when it is being abused. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a site that works.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no social media tracker and no embedded third-party content. The typefaces are served from our own domain, so no font company sees your visit either. That is why you get no cookie notice here.
Who else sees it
Only the companies we need in order to run this. The site is hosted by Vercel. The waitlist and our emails run through Loops. Both act on our instructions, may not use your details for their own ends, and are held to a processing agreement.
Vercel and Loops are both American companies, so your details may be processed outside the EEA. That happens under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and, where it applies, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell anything about you, and we never will.
How long we keep it
Waitlist details stay on the list until you unsubscribe. If the shop has been open two years and you have never opened one of our emails, we take you off anyway. Contact messages are kept for two years, so a conversation can be picked up where it stopped.
What you can ask of us
You can ask to see what we hold, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to take it with you, or to object to us using it at all. Send the request through the contact form and you will hear back within a month. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click, with no questions asked.
If you think we have handled this badly, you can complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority.
If this changes
We will update the date at the top. If a change actually matters to the people on the waitlist, you will hear it in an email rather than through a quiet edit to this page.
